Running away: sketch
Roadside:sketch
Quick sketch done when i was in a train. All the three characters were actually miles apart. I sketched them when either the train slowed down at some crossing or stopped at some station. But somehow I liked the final composition. Here, a point I should point out is that composing a group was something which I never tried consciously. I think i should do some exercise on this.

Little monster playing with a cockerel: Sketch
This was live sketch of my son adarsh playing while my moms pet cockerel was bold enough to come near. As usual my crazy imagination took hold of me and the sketch came out like this. But I love this sketch and I will paint this asap.
Later when I want to give a title to this sketch I was struck by the correlation that my fav writer V.K.N in his writings calls kids monsters. Hence the name.
So after all, one amoung the several reason for my crazy imagination is mister V.K.N.
Note: If you call yourself a mallu and cant read malayalam its a shame.
But if you can and havent read any V.K.N works, it is a sin. To get started read Payyan Kathakal.

Head on the floor: Sketch
This is one variation of an image that haunts me frequently in my dreams. The origins of such visions are the painful incident that happened to me as a young man in Nigeria. I was beaten up by four people for reasons only they know. They had my four limbs under their arm and with their free hands they were pounding me and finally when I was weak and out of breath, the guys holding my arms left their hold and I was held by my legs and my side of the face was on the ground. I felt as if I was under water because my nose and lungs were filled with fluids and I was struggling for air. They held me like that for several minutes till they drop me and disppeared.
This image also brings to my mind etchings by beloved Goya called 'The Disasters of War'.
